OPI I Have A Herring Problem

I have been assured by a Dutch friend that this varnish actually looks a little bit like herring, so clearly OPI did their research. It’s a dusty mid-blue that’s filled with silver shimmer so vivid and sparkly that it’s almost like very small flakies. They both stand out from and complement the base colour perfectly. I’m really finding it tricky to express how beautiful this varnish is in words, so make sure you click on the pictures to view them full sized!

The formula is slightly on the thin side to allow the shimmer/flakies to show through properly, so I had to use three coats. You could probably get away with two if you use thicker coats than I do, but bear in mind that it dries somewhat slowly, so leave some extra time between the coats to prevent pulling. A top coat really helps to bring out the shimmer but it’s pretty glossy even without it.
