We’re down to only two coats for this part of the collection, and those two coats are completely opaque, which is probably a consequence of the darker colour. The shimmer is least visible in Tulum, sadly, and I think it’s a real shame because the colour is far too similar to mud for me. It really could have used a good solid kick of gold to bring it away from that. The tone of the varnish shifts depending on whether or not it’s in direct sunlight. As you can see, it’s far more cool-toned (almost a mauve-grey) without the sun and warmer with it, something that I find quite intriguing. I’m just not entirely sure it suits me.
